While most times you will be told how you should interact with the camera, there will undoubtedly be times when you won’t be told. When the acting audition opportunity comes, do not become so nervous, but look for clues as soon as you enter the room. Is there someone for you to read with and where are they in proximity to the camera? Where are those who will make the decision seated and is there special lighting? If the reader is seated near the camera then chances are you will read to that person during your acting talent casting.
If the decision makers are seated near the camera, then you will probably read to them. If there is special lighting, then you should be in the hot spot or where the light is brightest during your acting auditions. You should feel the warmth of the light on your face. The most important thing to remember is that the video should show your facial expressions and if you still aren’t sure just ask for it.
